
Inspiring the Leaders of Today
Since 2015, Lazos Al Futuro has been guiding youth in the Dominican Republic through high school and college so they can be leaders in their families, classrooms, and communities. Lazos Al Futuro provides mentoring, counseling and financial aid to help the students in the program.
Who We Are
Lazos Al Futuro, which translates to Ties to the Future, supports student leaders in the Dominican Republic throughout high school and college by providing academic supplies, counseling, mentorship, empowering programming, and more. Our mission is to help disadvantaged students graduating from high school and college by removing as many barriers as possible. Our vision is to improve graduation rates to bridge the equity gap and continue to foster leadership opportunities for the youth in the Dominican Republic.
Lazos Al Futuro provides year-round programming to 30 student leaders involved in the program in the northeast region of the Dominican Republic. Currently, the organization has two operating locations in Santiago and Luperon, Puerto Plata.
Our Services

We provide discussions with experts that make our student leaders more well-rounded. From financial literacy training to health and wellness, our team hosts monthly meetings that broaden our students' perspective of the world around them.

All Lazos Al Futuro leaders are paired with a mentor to identify and track their career goals and aspirations. We believe that if you can see it, you can be it.

A foundational area for Lazos Al Futuro is community outreach. Lazos Al Futuro makes a difference in our student leaders and empowers them to be active community members. As we pour into them, we want them also to give back to others. We are firm believes that you lead from where you are.

In July 2023, Lazos Al Futuro will host the first summer camp in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The camp will host all 30 youth members and focus on honing their goals for the next two years leading to Lazos Al Futuro's first graduation. The camp will be three days and include activities, panels, and community service.
